November 2026 Elections — A Board Reshaped by June's Results

activealameda
Alameda County's political landscape is being reset by a combination of June 2026 primary results and November 2026 general elections that will determine the Board of Supervisors' direction on every major issue. Incumbent District 2 Supervisor Elisa Marquez cruised to victory in the June 2, 2026 primary, leading challengers BART Board Director Liz Ames and businessman Rohan Marfatia by roughly 50 percentage points in early returns — a decisive result that gives her a clear mandate heading into her next term. The county is also holding elections for District Attorney, County Assessor, County Auditor-Controller, County Superintendent, and County Treasurer-Tax Collector in June, with additional races for AC Transit, BART, East Bay Regional Park District, and Peralta Community College District on the November ballot. These downstream elections — particularly for AC Transit and BART boards — will shape the regional transit decisions that determine whether tens of thousands of Alameda County residents can get to work, school, and medical appointments affordably.
