Bio

I am honored to serve as the Mayor of Los Gatos, the town where I grew up and have spent most of my

life. Like so many who call Los Gatos home, I deeply value our connection to nature, our vibrant

downtown, our exceptional schools, our safe neighborhoods, and our strong sense of community. As your

mayor, I am focused on protecting what makes Los Gatos special while thoughtfully addressing the

challenges we face, like housing, traffic, affordability, financial uncertainty, and street safety.

I have spent my time on the Town Council focused on passing the Housing Element, making Los Gatos’

streets safer, bolstering emergency preparedness, creating programs for young people in town, investing

in the Homeless Hotel Program, helping small businesses, securing funding for Los Gatos nonprofits,

passing balanced budgets, and providing consistent communication to the Los Gatos community.

Education

Having grown up in Los Gatos, I attended local public schools Noddin Elementary, Union Middle School,

and Leigh High School. I went on to attend Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and earned my Bachelor of Arts in

Political Science (Magna Cum Laude) with an emphasis in Public Service and Urban Planning.

Professional Experience

I bring with me a variety of professional experiences, from government to nonprofits. As your mayor, I’m

working to leverage my relationships with our state and federal partners to help people in Los Gatos.

● County of Santa Clara: I currently work as a Policy Aide for Supervisor Margaret Abe-Koga,

since my role as mayor is essentially a volunteer position. In this job, I cover all healthcare policy

related to the County’s four hospitals, behavioral/ mental health, public health, and more.

● State Legislature: I spent a year working as the Senior District Representative for California State

Assemblymember Gail Pellerin. I met with constituents to address concerns, discuss bill ideas,

and navigate state agencies. I supported the Assemblymember’s legislation on AI deepfake

disinformation, foster youth protections, daycare pool safety, and rental application fee limits.

● San José Conservation Corps: I worked as the Special Projects Manager at a local environmental

nonprofit focused on providing well-paying jobs to underserved youth in San Jose. I managed a

tiny home housing program, oversaw government relations, and coordinated large-scale events.

● Non-Profits: I previously managed an 80-resident homeless shelter at the Santa Clara County

Fairgrounds during the height of the pandemic. Before that, I oversaw a 30-person fellowship

through the California Climate Action Corps that focused on diverting food waste from the

landfill. I also spent time with the United Nations Foundation working on vaccine advocacy.

● Other: I worked as a substitute teacher, interned for former Congresswoman Anna Eshoo and

Assemblymember Evan Low, and led a ballot measure campaign to ban fracking in SLO County.

Committees, Boards, and Volunteering

I have the opportunity to serve as a board member and volunteer for public agencies and nonprofits.

● Chair, West Valley Sanitation District

● Board Member, Cities Association of

Santa Clara County

● Board Member (alternate), VTA

● Delegate, California Democratic Party

● Board Member, Kyle J. Taylor Foundation

● Emergency Response Team (CERT)

● Coach, Leigh High School Wrestling

● Board Member, Peninsula Division of

the League of California Cities

● Board Member, Regional Planning
