*A Note From District 3 Supervisor* *Danny Sauter*

Earlier this week I saw video of a sickening scene: *a woman snatched by ICE Agents at SFO and violently carried away*.

That woman is *Iryna Gorb, a longtime Nob Hill resident*. She’s a barista who makes coffee for neighbors every morning on Russian Hill with a smile. She’s a photographer, a cat sitter, a friend to many.

ICE has no answer for how snatching her makes anyone safer, because it doesn’t. Let me be clear: ICE is desperate, unhinged and out of control.

I’m in touch with immigration lawyers and legal defense partners who are supporting Iryna. She also has the strength of countless friends and neighbors who know her as the valued part of San Francisco that she is.

What we are witnessing are the last gasps of a failing administration seeking to distract from their deeply unpopular regime. *Our city - and country - will continue to stand united in calling them out and protecting our neighbors.*
