Adam Rak

Adam Rak was first elected to the City Council in 2018 and re-elected in 2022.

He is a government relations professional with over 25 years experience working on public policy issues including six years as an aide on Capitol Hill for then Congresswoman Barbara Kennelly. He also lead the global public affairs team at Symantec for nine years.

Mr. Rak moved to San Carlos in 2001 and has been an active member of the community. He has coached youth sports, volunteered in the classroom and served on the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce Board. He was also elected and served one term as a Trustee for the San Carlos School Board from 2011- 2015.

Mr. Rak has a Bachelor’s Degree in International Affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.

He and his wife, Allison, have three daughters.
