Bio

Mark and his wife, Sue, have lived in Morgan Hill since 1992 where they raised their 3 daughters. In that time Mark has been involved in the community helping with creek clean-up efforts; raised money for Paradise Elementary School where his children attended school; served on the board of his homeowners’ association; and since 2014, Mark has been the Director of South County’s efforts for Wreaths Across America, raising more than $18,000 each year to place Christmas wreaths on all the graves of veterans buried in Morgan Hill and Gilroy. He also sits on the Board of the Morgan Hill Community Foundation.

In Mark’s fundraising efforts as a part-time auctioneer, he has helped raise more than $10 million dollars for organizations such as St. Louise Regional Hospital Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Operation Freedom Paws, DreamPower Horsemanship, South Valley Wine Auction, Pratham USA, and the Cystic Fibrosis-Northern California Chapter just to name a few.

Mark received the 2020 Chamber Executive of the Year Award from the Western Association of Chamber Executives (W.A.C.E.). W.A.C.E. is the largest state or regional association of chamber of commerce executives in the United States. Mark was also the Chair of the Silicon Valley Chamber Coalition consisting of 18 Chambers of Commerce in and around Silicon Valley.

While on staff as an Associate Pastor at South Valley Community Church, Mark was invited to deliver the invocation at an opening session of Congress on May 21, 2013, at the Capitol Building in Washington, DC.

He has been married to Sue since 1983. Together they have 3 daughters, 2 sons-in-law and 3 grandchildren
