Kookie Fitzsimmons

I was first elected to Saratoga City Council in 2020 and was unanimously voted Mayor in 2023 after serving as Vice Mayor in 2022. Prior to serving on City Council, I was appointed to serve on the Saratoga Planning Commission from 2014 – 2020.

My family has called Saratoga home for three generations. I am the first person born and raised in Saratoga to be elected to City Council and serve as Mayor. From a young age I learned the importance and value of being a team player. For over 35 years, I have been passionate about finding opportunities to volunteer and serve our community. For these things I am deeply grateful and I bring these perspectives with me to City Council.

My strong ties to the city extend to the Saratoga Village and business community. For 15 years, my family and I owned and operated an antique store and flower shop in the Village. Over the past 40 years, from my time as President of the Village Merchants Association, Blossom Festival Chair, and Village Halloween Costume Walk Chair, to my current role as Council Member, I have remained dedicated to promoting and advocating for our vital business community.
