Bio

Vice Mayor Anne Bybee was originally elected to the Campbell City Council in 2018 and was re-elected in the November 2022 General Municipal Election representing District 5. Serving as Mayor in 2023, Vice Mayor Bybee’s priorities included completing the General Plan, adopting the Housing Element and Objective Standards, and approving plans and awarding contracts for the Measure O projects—Campbell Police facility and Campbell Library renovation.

Prior to her Council election, Vice Mayor Bybee served as Campbell’s City Clerk. During her prestigious thirty year career serving Campbell residents, Ms. Bybee earned the distinction of Certified Municipal Clerk and Master Municipal Clerk from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. Ms. Bybee was also recognized by the Campbell City Council in 2013 for receiving the Women of Distinction Award.

Vice Mayor Bybee is married to a retired Campbell police officer and the mother to two adult daughters. She attended local schools and is a graduate of West Valley College. Ms. Bybee has been an active participant and volunteer in the community for many years supporting various school activities and local sports and theater programs that her daughters participated in. Vice Mayor Bybee supports local programs and activities sponsored by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Campbell Business Association. She is an active member of the Montalvo Service Group and has held Board positions including Treasurer. Vice Mayor Bybee also supports local charities including Family Giving Tree and Second Harvest Food Bank.
